What is Radiant?

Radiant is a 4-week guided journey for midlife women who are deeply tired—but ready to reconnect with peace, energy, and themselves. It’s not a bootcamp. It’s not a course.

 

It’s a sacred sabbatical—time you give yourself to rest, release what’s not yours, and rediscover your light.

I’m proof that you can find joy again — that you can go from the person who gave till it hurt to a woman who asks for what she needs (out loud!).

The version of me who mothered three little kids, who could give to others but not to herself, and who measured self-worth by what she produced is very different than the Kate of today. I wholeheartedly believe that women can find freedom and fulfillment through my in-the-trenches victories.

I unknowingly created my own sabbatical in 2023, when my college-aged son spent 10 days in the ICU with a TBI (traumatic brain injury). Even after his initial recovery, my nervous system was fried. I surrendered to an experiment of radical rest. What emerged was completely counterintuitive . . . and exactly what I needed.

Here’s what I want you to know. Peace is possible, but not when you’re trapped in a pressure cooker. Radiant is a purposeful, expansive space using tools that have worked for me and my clients. Check it out below to see if it feels right for you.

YOUR 4-WEEK SABBATICAL FLOW

Week 1 - Exhale
Set down what you’ve been carrying. Pause. Reflect. Let go of the invisible load.

  • Invisible Load Reflection – Uncover what you’re mentally, emotionally, and energetically holding.
  • Sacred Sanctuary – Somatic grounding that invites all parts of you to this space.
  • Rest Reclamation – Identify internal rules around rest, and rewrite them.

This week, we create space. We allow our bodies and minds to know that it’s safe to pause. We open to the possibility of true rest.

Week 2 - Observe
Look with fresh eyes at what drains and fuels your energy. Restore your energy through curious awareness and small experiments.

  • Input Inventory – Track what drains and fuels your energy (physical, emotional, relational).
  • Group Embodiment Practice – Experience your body’s wisdom to connect you to your heart’s desire.
  • Choose a Mini-Adventure – A playful, simple act of novelty to stimulate your fun receptors.

This week, we notice. What supports you? What steals your spark? You don’t have to overhaul—just begin to reorient.

Week 3 - Imagine
Tend to Your Yes/No Signal & Response Pattern. Understand what influences your boundary choices and design a different plan.

  • Yes/No Awareness Map – Assess where your boundaries feel clear or collapsed
  • Velvet Rope Visualization – Envision holding boundaries with grace and clarity
  • “Helping Fast” Experiment – Observe when, how, and why you jump to help others (and how to pause with love)

This week, we claim our needs and desires as a factor in what we do or don’t do. We practice self-compassion and understanding while tending to our boundary skills.

Week 4 - Align
Connect with Your Radiant Rhythm. Calibrate to what you’ve discovered. Protect your peace.

  • My Radiant Rhythm Worksheet – Capture what energizes you, how to support your peace, and your ideal rest/work cycles.
  • Closing Circle Ritual – Celebrate your insights, release what’s complete, and rise together.
  • Carry it Forward – Set your intentions and declare your next step.

You leave with a personal map, more awareness and self-compassion, and a renewed connection to your light.

Frequently asked questions

Does sabbatical mean I have to take off from work?

Unlike a typical sabbatical, Radiant can be woven into your current life.

The minimum commitment is to show up for the four weekly live Zoom sessions for two reasons:

  1. Each week builds on the previous one to create the best outcomes.
  2. You’ll both give and receive a higher level of support from the small circle of women. 

Creating additional spaciousness in your life during the Sabbatical for more rest and less doing will definitely help, but is not required.

How's this different from everything else I've tried?

You’ve probably taken courses, read books, or tried rest, but still feel exhausted.

As women, we are so used to putting pressure on ourselves. Even self-help strategies can be pressure cookers. We’re trying to get an A+ at meditation or optimizing our time or being in nature.

Radiant isn’t about doing more. It’s about learning how to pause with purpose.

This is a sabbatical, not a strategy. A nervous system reset, not a performance plan.

A purposeful pause is different than sleeping more or binge-watching or reading a romance novel.

We’ll be tuning in differently, mind and body. Be open to the possibility that the relief you are looking for can naturally emerge from this process.

What if I don't have much energy right now?

You may be thinking, “I’m too tired to do anything else right now.”

But that’s exactly why the Radiant sabbatical exists. Radiant is designed to give you energy back, not take more away.

You’ll be able to simply show up to the four sessions, be taken care of, and respond.

By the end, you’ll know where your energy is getting drained and fueled, and the next, natural steps to do things differently.

Part of the exhaustion is feeling like you’re in it alone. Radiant will show you that you’re not alone, and that you may already have the answer inside of you.

What if I feel guilty about spending money on myself?

Costs go both ways. There’s a cost to not investing in your wellbeing:

  • to your physical health if you sink deeper into burnout
  • to your relationships if you are irritable and unable to be present
  • to your emotional health if you deny your need to be nourished

Part of the cure is being able to spend money for your own benefit. That being said, I’ve kept the investment lower because I understand the weariness that comes from trying thing after thing.

Just as a comparison, let’s say you purchased four pampering sessions — a massage, a facial, a mani/pedi, and a hair blowout/styling. Those services could easily total over $600 and the results would be temporary.

Radiant is less than half of that and the tools are yours forever.

But it’s not only about the money.

You are worthy of spending money on.

It took me a long time to realize that. I was stingy with myself in many ways – from difficulty accepting compliments to tolerating only breadcrumbs of support.

My big aha was understanding that what felt “wrong” was really about practicing unfamiliar actions until they felt more comfortable. Self-generosity is a skill – imagine that!
